Verschrikkelijk lang en met verschrikkelijk veel ongeduld keek ik uit naar dit laatste deel van de serie Ashfall . Sinds ik de delen 1 & 2 eind 2012 gelezen had lieten ze mij niet meer los, gedurende de bijna anderhalf jaar dat ik heb moeten wachten op Sunrise heb ik ontzettend vaak aan dit spannende en emotionele verhaal teruggedacht. Maar toen Sunrise dan eindelijk in mijn bezit was begon ik niet gelijk te lezen. Nee, er is zeker nog wel een week of twee overheen gegaan voor ik er aan toe was. Ik wilde verschrikkelijk graag weten hoe het af zou lopen maar eigenlijk ook weer niet . . . . . want dat zou betekenen dat mijn reis met Alex en Darla voorbij zou zijn. Maar ik kon de verleiding natuurlijk niet lang weerstaan . . . . . Ook dit laatste deel was weer een geweldig avontuur. Het was zoals ik gewend was van de eerste twee delen; vlot, spannend, gruwelijk, emotioneel en af en toe romantisch en humoristisch. The Reason verteld het verhaal van Vivienne Callahan, een jonge vrouw die alleen maar ellende gekend heeft in haar jonge leven. Nadat haar ex vriend haar het ziekenhuis ingeslagen heeft probeert ze de draad weer op te pakken. Ze werkt als serveerster voor een mager loontje en probeert de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen. Tijdens één van haar diensten ontmoet ze Mikah. Mikah is alles wat Vivienne niet is: rijk, succesvol en ziet er gezond en doorvoed uit. Deze introductie in de nieuwe serie van Molly McAdams, Sharing You , is een erg goed begin. Het is een romantisch, erotisch en emotioneel verhaal en lekker vlot geschreven. De personages zijn leuk en geloofwaardig neergezet en ook al is het verhaal niet verschrikkelijk origineel, ik heb er wel enorm van genoten. In dit relatief korte boek maken we ook kennis met de persoon die de hoofdrol zal gaan spelen in deel 1, Brody. Ik kijk uit naar dat boek want de samenvatting klinkt erg goed. Vanaf 11 juni 2014 kunnen we Sharing You lezen.
