Review:

Van het eerste deel van deze serie, Rock The Heart, heb ik een review geschreven en je kunt daarin lezen dat ik wat moeite had met dat boek maar dat hij leuk genoeg was om in één keer uit te lezen.
Van het vervolg, Rock My Bed, heb ik geen review geschreven maar die was zeker beter dan zijn voorganger en ik wist dat ik ook deel 3 en 4 zou gaan lezen.
Rock The Beat is heel origineel omdat het zich afspeelt tegen de achtergrond van een motorcross traject en we niet 'on tour' zijn zoals vaak het geval is in Rock Star Novels.
Sommige gebeurtenissen zijn vrij voorspelbaar, je ziet van verre al aankomen wat er gaat gebeuren, maar daar heb ik niet zo'n moeite mee, dat maakt deze boeken nou juist zo leuk, gewoon lekker luchtig leesvoer met een hoge dosis passie en erotiek, heerlijk!
In de voorgaande boeken vond ik Trip en zijn tweelingbroer Tyke een beetje losgeslagen personages, maar in Rock The Beat is Trip een jongen met verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en het hart op de goede plaats.
Wanneer het boek over de laatste band lid, Tyke, precies uit gaat komen is nog niet bekend. Alleen dat dat ergens in 2014 zal zijn en dat hij de titel Rock My Body draagt.
Ik kijk er naar uit!

Abbi Glines - Because of Lila

Kan het zijn dat je te veel van je favoriete schrijfster hebt gelezen en haar boeken daardoor op de één of andere manier minder leuk gaat vinden? Het overkomt me nl steeds vaker met Abbi Glines. En daar baal ik van want het genieten van een Abbi Glines was een zekerheid waarop ik altijd terug kon vallen. Slechte plot twist Misschien had ze niet terug moeten vallen op haar Sea Breeze en Rosemary Beach series en gewoon aan iets heel nieuws moeten beginnen? Ik was helemaal in de wolken toen ik hoorde van haar nieuwe serie. Blij dat ik weer terug kon keren en de kinderen van de personages uit de voorgaande boeken kon leren kennen, maar tot nu toe vallen de verhalen me nog niet mee.
