Waiting on Wednesday (WoW) is een wekelijks terugkerende rubriek die wordt gehost door Breaking the Spine en in die rubriek vertellen boekliefhebbers naar welke boeken ze uitkijken.

‣ Als ik denk aan Charley Davidson dan begin ik al te lachen. Haar humor is echt fenomenaal! En alhoewel het heel af en toe een klein beetje te veel van het goede is kan ik er toch geen genoeg van krijgen. Ik kijk dan ook enorm uit naar het 6e deel van de serie die jammer genoeg pas in mei volgend jaar uit gaat komen.

    Ik moet hoognodig eens met deze serie beginnen. Ik heb het eerste boek al meer dan eens geleend bij de bieb, maar op de een of andere manier word ik altijd afgeleid door ander leesmateriaal.

Abbi Glines - Because of Lila

Kan het zijn dat je te veel van je favoriete schrijfster hebt gelezen en haar boeken daardoor op de één of andere manier minder leuk gaat vinden? Het overkomt me nl steeds vaker met Abbi Glines. En daar baal ik van want het genieten van een Abbi Glines was een zekerheid waarop ik altijd terug kon vallen. Slechte plot twist Misschien had ze niet terug moeten vallen op haar Sea Breeze en Rosemary Beach series en gewoon aan iets heel nieuws moeten beginnen? Ik was helemaal in de wolken toen ik hoorde van haar nieuwe serie. Blij dat ik weer terug kon keren en de kinderen van de personages uit de voorgaande boeken kon leren kennen, maar tot nu toe vallen de verhalen me nog niet mee. Ik vond deze zelfs nog minder leuk dan zijn voorganger  . Eén van de dingen waarvan ik zeker weet dat ik er moe wordt is de (ongewenste) zwangerschap.
