Mijn WoW:

‣ Sinds het eerste boek van de serie With Me in Seattle ben ik een fan van Kristen Proby.
Ik houd van haar hedendaagse Adult romans met alpha males en sterke vrouwen.
Ik vond het jammer dat met deel 8 een eind kwam aan deze serie maar sprong een gat in de lucht na de aankondiging dat er een nieuwe reeks verschijnt, The Boudreaux Series.

Eli’s southern charms surprise Kate. The man whose reputation labels him as a ruthless, callous womanizer is not the man she’s coming to know intimately. He’s generous, protective and makes her smile. Cracking through Kate’s cool, reserved demeanor and discovering her love of sexy, expensive lingerie is a challenge Eli can’t resist, but her sweet nature, love of family and sense of humor pull at him in ways no one else ever has.
But when the person responsible for trying to single-handedly dismantle Eli’s empire comes to light, and it’s time for Kate to move on, to what lengths will Eli go to keep the woman he he’s fallen in love with by his side?

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Apollyon

Gods (om het even in stijl te houden), wat was dit weer een geweldig vervolg! Ik heb er van genoten! De eerste 2 hoofdstukken verliepen een beetje moeizaam, ik begreep niks van het verhaal want er werd verwezen naar dingen waarvan ik me helemaal niet kon herinneren dat die gebeurt waren. Ik ben toen eerst maar eens het einde van deel 3 over gaan lezen, maar ook dat hielp niet. . . tot ik er achter kwam dat je de novella Elixir vóór dit boek moest lezen, die was ik even vergeten :-(. Nou ja, moet is een groot woord natuurlijk maar het is wel zo handig want er wordt regelmatig in het hele boek naar de gebeurtenissen in de novella verwezen dus als je het goed wilt kunnen volgen dan is het wel een aanrader.. En het was absoluut geen straf om Elixir te lezen. De novella is ca. 80 blz lang en wordt verteld vanuit Aiden’s POV, heerlijk om ook eens van zijn kant in het verhaal te kijken want Aiden St. Delphi (zelfs zijn naam is geweldig) heeft vanaf het eerste boek mijn hart gestolen. Molly McAdams - Needing Her

Ik zou eens wat vaker mijn eigen reviews na moeten lezen. Ik heb me het hoofd lopen breken over het regeltje onderaan de samenvatting van Goodreads:   If you loved Connor in From Ashes, this is the story for you . Ik kon mij maar niet herinneren wie hij was en in de samenvatting van From Ashes wordt alleen gesproken over Gage en Ty. Had ik mijn eigen review gelezen dan was me wel een lichtje gaan branden maar nee hoor, niet doen natuurlijk. Pas toen aan het eind van het boek een sneak peak van het eerste hoofdstuk van From Ashes werd gegeven begon het me te dagen, terwijl hij in dat hoofdstuk nog niet eens voor komt. En na het raadplegen van mijn eigen review was het me weer helemaal duidelijk. IK VOND HEM STIEKEM ZELFS HEEL LEUK! Nou ja, hoe kun je zo iemand dan vergeten….. Laten we het er maar op houden dat ik gewoon veeeeeel te veel lees…. Ok, Connor dus.
