Dat was dan ook wat mij aantrok tijdens het lezen van de samenvatting, instantly attracted . Ik ging er vanuit dat ik er enorm van zou genieten, nou die aanname “bit me in the ass” zoals ze het op zijn engels zo geweldig kunnen zeggen. Nog niet eens zo heel veel bladzijden waren verstreken voor de hoofdpersoon helemaal hotel de botel verliefd was en de I love him´s je om de oren vlogen. Voor mij was dat een beetje teveel van het goede. Sophie Jordan heeft het beste bewaard tot het laatst . . . Wild was de meest erotische en sexy van de drie delen in deze serie. Ik had wel wat meer Kink Club scenes verwacht , maar misschien is het maar goed ook dat ik dat niet kreeg want dan was mijn eReader misschien wel gesmolten 😉 Dit boek was vooral erg leuk door Logan. Logan is de jongere broer van Reece uit deel 1 en is een playboy. Ondank zijn pas 18 jaar is hij veel volwassener dan de meeste van zijn leeftijdgenoten, iets wat grotendeels verborgen blijft achter zijn playboy imago. Zijn beschermende en bezitterige gedrag maakte hem vooral een heel erg sexy personage en Georgia heeft die bescherming wel nodig want ook al is ze ouder dan hem, Logan is veel wereldwijzer en hij heeft al heel snel door dat wat zij delen, een zinderende connectie, heel bijzonder is en iets wat ze moeten koesteren. Na een hele lange tijd bijna alleen maar hedendaagse boeken te hebben gelezen werd de drang naar het paranormale genre steeds groter. Maar telkens als ik in één begon mankeerde er voor mijn gevoel iets aan; de schrijfstijl was niet naar mijn zin, de personages spraken me niet aan, de mij voorgeschotelde paranormale wereld stond me tegen, kortom ik viel steeds weer terug op het oude vertrouwde hedendaagse genre. Totdat ik dit boek opensloeg . . . na 2 bladzijden zat ik BAM . . . middenin het verhaal . . . . . Zo moet een boek beginnen als je mij gelijk enthousiast wil krijgen . . . met een klapper . . . een spannende, gevaarlijke situatie waarin de heldin(nen) uitblinken in hun kracht, vindingrijkheid en . . . humor. Via Wattpad ben ik in contact gekomen met de schrijfster Kirsty Moseley. Het eerste boek dat ik van haar las was Nothing Left To Lose en ik was er enorm van onder de indruk. Het is altijd het eerst boek waaraan ik denk als ik de naam Kirsty Moseley lees, maar ook van haar andere boeken heb ik genoten, vooral omdat ze er altijd enorme emotionele rollercoasters van weet te maken. Ik kon niet in het verhaal komen en het feit dat Emma steeds in zichzelf aan het ‘praten’ was (van die schuin geschreven kinderachtige zinnetjes) begon me steeds meer te irriteren.   In ‘Not My Cup of Tea Friday’ zet ik boeken in de spotlight die ik niet uitgelezen heb. Kon ik mij een paar jaar geleden niet voorstellen dat ik een boek niet uit zou lezen, nu kan ik mij niet meer voorstellen dat ik met een boek dat me helemaal niet pakt of boeit nog verder ga, vooral niet omdat mijn ‘nog te lezen’ lijst verschrikkelijk lang is. Maar omdat ik me er toch altijd een beetje schuldig en onvoldaan over voel krijgen deze boeken hun eigen plekje op de blog. Dat wil niet zeggen dat jullie de boeken in deze rubriek niet moeten gaan lezen,  zeker niet  want smaken verschillen en wat ik niet leuk vind kan een ander geweldig vinden....

Na het eerste deel van deze serie, Noah , was ik enorm enthousiast. Dat zette door met het 2e deel, Gio . Maar jammer genoeg werd mijn enthousiasme daarna enorm getemperd met het boek over Hector . Abel zorgde weer voor een opleving en met de hoop dat Felix mij weer helemaal entousiast zou krijgen begon ik aan dit boek. In WoW #75 vertelde ik dat ik geen fan was van Felix en dat, als de schrijfster mij gevraagd had of ze een boek over hem moest gaan schrijven, ik volmondig nee gezegd zou hebben. Maar nu ze hem toch uit gebracht heeft wilde ik hem natuurlijk lezen. Tot mijn verbazing vond ik de persoon Felix erg leuk. Wij hebben hem in Gio, het boek waarin hij de grootste rol speelde, van zijn allerslechtste kant gezien, en dat is tevens de periode waarin zijn wereld finaal in duigen valt. Dat weten wij dan nog niet, maar in zijn eigen boek kunnen wij lezen waarom Felix deed wat hij deed en waarom hij was wie hij was op dat moment. Ik ben geen fan van Historische romans. De cover van dit boek doet vermoeden dat ik er toch één gelezen heb en dat is gedeeltelijk waar. Het is een time-travel roman die zich afspeelt in het Schotland van een paar eeuwen geleden. Waarom ik hem ben gaan lezen? Sinds de serie Outlander, waarvan ik vanaf het moment dat ik het 1e deel zag fan ben, was ik op zoek naar een soortgelijk verhaal en ik dacht hem in deze gevonden te hebben. Natuurlijk had ik ook de boeken van Diana Gabaldon, de schrijfster van Outlander, kunnen gaan lezen maar ik vind het nooit leuk de boeken waarop een TV serie gebaseerd is te lezen omdat er vaak veel te veel van afgeweken wordt. Met dit boek waande ik mij een beetje in dezelfde sfeer als Outlander. Holly viert haar vakantie in Schotland en is op een avond op weg naar een Historisch feest.
