Mijn WoW:

‣ Ze mag ook tot mijn favoriete schrijfsters gerekend worden, M. Leighton. Het laatste boek dat ik van haar heb gelezen, There's Wild, Then There's You, viel me iets tegen maar ik weet zeker dat dit boek dat helemaal goed gaat maken.

The answer is: I don’t know. I don’t know what makes a great love story. I only know what makes my love story. I only know that finding Cole when I did, when my world had dissolved into nothing, when I couldn’t separate nightmare from reality, was the only thing that saved me. He was more broken than I was, but somehow we took each other’s shattered pieces and made a whole. Without him, I wouldn’t have made it. If that is what makes a great love story, if that is what makes an epic romance, then mine…ours is the greatest of them all.

Abbi Glines - Because of Lila

Kan het zijn dat je te veel van je favoriete schrijfster hebt gelezen en haar boeken daardoor op de één of andere manier minder leuk gaat vinden? Het overkomt me nl steeds vaker met Abbi Glines. En daar baal ik van want het genieten van een Abbi Glines was een zekerheid waarop ik altijd terug kon vallen. Slechte plot twist Misschien had ze niet terug moeten vallen op haar Sea Breeze en Rosemary Beach series en gewoon aan iets heel nieuws moeten beginnen? Ik was helemaal in de wolken toen ik hoorde van haar nieuwe serie. Blij dat ik weer terug kon keren en de kinderen van de personages uit de voorgaande boeken kon leren kennen, maar tot nu toe vallen de verhalen me nog niet mee. Ik vond deze zelfs nog minder leuk dan zijn voorganger  . Eén van de dingen waarvan ik zeker weet dat ik er moe wordt is de (ongewenste) zwangerschap.
